Founder Letter: Artichoke Flowers and Sweet Nectarines and Deep Gratitude
Dear Rosies,
Early summer in northern California is fresh artichoke flowers (see above!) and dripping sweet white nectarines, backyard concerts and bluegrass music on the plaza. There's a little bit more freedom from the constriction of clothing, a little more warmth on the face. We were just in Los Angeles packing out thousands of back orders, blessing each one as the labels went on, giving thanks for all of you and for the conscientious people at the organic factory we have been working with since 2018.
LA was gorgeous, ridiculous blue skies, with that slight scent of sea brine that lingers in June. For those of you following politics, the supposed conflict is a big nothing burger. It was business as usual in all parts of the city we visited.
I keep coming back to the idea that we need to trust our own direct experience, our deepest wisdom and highest selves, and trust the earth and her abundance. We might choose to be deeply skeptical of the newsfeed, which seems to be driven those whose interests are served when people are afraid and divided. Let's not buy into that story, and return to love. We are one humanity, under one sun. Kindness and respect matter deeply, and are a sign of reverence for all life. We collectively make the outside world from who we are inside.
This week I was honored to be a guest on Yasmeen's Gateways to Awakening Podcast. We talk about how women can claim pleasure, vitality, and agency at every stage of life. I share some insights from the book on matrescence, menopause, gerotranscendence, and how the body is the gateway to awakening. If you are seeking a deeper understanding of feminine wisdom, embodied spirituality, and how to bridge the practical and the mystical, have a listen.
Thank you, again, from our whole heart.
With love,
Christine Marie Mason
