So Fire: New Candles
Dear Rose Woman community,
Candles bring sensual ritual and reverence into everyday life. Strike a match, light a candle, bring the elemental awake, create a miniature hearth...and be slowed down. Light them and you instantly have a more hygge winter night, a more romantic dinner, or a gramworthy bubblebath. I light candles every morning, one on the desk and one on the home altar, as a conscious reminder of the light within, to remember my ancestors and teachers and those that are suffering, and to remind myself to let my inner flame burn bright for what is true and good.
Here are the scents we are offering this winter!
- Elevate: Rose and Oud, for upliftment and enchantment (updated scent)
- Surrender: Sandalwood and Honey, for grounding and centeredness (updated scent)
- Enlighten: Jasmine and Bergamot, for innocence and expansive love (new offering)
They are of course, made healthy, with vegan soy wax and cotton wicks, simple and reusable 12-ounce vessels in white glass, and exquisite natural scents and packaged to represent the gift they are. 65 hours of burn time.
Little known candle tidbit: in yoga, there's a literal enlightenment practice of flame gazing, called Tatraka, which unlocks intuition, improves focus and the heals the eyes. In the very charming short film, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, an adaptation of a Roald Dahl book, the lead character, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, practices Tatraka to get what he wants in life, but (spoiler alert) the practice changes him so much that was he wants changes.
So, back to the candles, they are en route, and will ship next week, with special pricing of 20% off through December 11th (normally $45, $36 for prelaunch). These are limited edition items.
Wherever you are out there, may you keep your own flame lit, be nurtured and replenished, and stay connected to the light.
XO,
