Pass On Your Wisdom
Welcome to this week’s roundup of the latest innovations and insights in women’s health and wellness.
I’ve curated a few headlines I believe you’ll find valuable—because sharing knowledge is one of the most powerful ways we can support one another. When we deepen our understanding of our bodies and health, we become more empowered to make informed, confident choices—for ourselves, and for the wellbeing of our families and communities.
Stay curious. Stay informed. Let’s dive in.
Advocating for Menopause Education in Healthcare: Menopause is a universal experience for women, yet most doctors receive little to no formal training on how to support patients through this profound life transition. With over 150 potential symptoms—each presenting differently in every woman, misdiagnosis and misunderstanding remain far too common. Peabody Award-winning documentarian Denise Pines, creator of the groundbreaking film MFactor, is working to change that. California’s AB 360 is a critical step forward. This bill directs the Medical Board of California to assess physicians’ understanding of both the physical and mental health dimensions of menopause—and to consider whether continuing medical education (CME) in this area should be required.
As part of this movement, you're invited to Denise Pines' annual WISEPAUSE event on menopause at Skirball in LA. Enjoy 25% off your ticket for this daylong event on April 12th, featuring leading doctors, educators, and activists in menopause care. It's an opportunity to learn, connect, and find resources for this stage of life. Use code WPROSE for 25% off your daylong ticket.
New Research Spotlight: A recent study from the University of Minnesota found that treating male partners can reduce the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis (BV) in women. This insight could lead to more effective treatment approaches and better outcomes for those affected.
