August 2022
We’ve been traveling for a couple of weeks. Adam babies the little Ragamala harmonium, keeping it out of the blazing European heat, and he also never loses anything. Sukkhadas stays in a good mood, seeing possibility no matter what. They alternate between deep wisdom and 12 year old humor (which is fine by me cuz Scooter, my inner preteen boy, feels at ease too). The driver controls the music. When A drives there’s a lot of Grateful Dead. When S drives there’s a lot of thump thump thump. When I drive you never know- could be Fauve or the Wood Brothers or Nina Simone. I keep the morning Londrelle to myself. We get out of the house on time, we arrive to venues early, everyone’s needs are met, there’s good humor, we make friends in every town. There’s a lot of wordplay. There are a lot of croissants, chai for Bauer and coffee for the rest of us. There’s a lot of that bhakti vibe on the daily. Sunset exclamations, appreciations, awe. This photo entering the Jivamukti studio in Hamburg for a full house gathering of souls tonight. Last gathering is tomorrow at Jivamukti Berlin. Then I will be in our new east coast office during the week, and teaching or singing on the weekends until midseptember. Will I see you in Lee, MA on 8/13? I hope so.
Love from the road.
