Living Tantra, the Lens and the Invitation

Plus a downloadable movement, shaking, drop into the body audio practice.

Hello all,

This summer, I’ve been occupied in deep personal and professional work. What’s alive: crafting and interpreting the Women and AI survey; writing a comprehensive practice manual for Wake Down, on bringing the light fully into the body; refining Rose Woman as an intimate wellness platform and developing the Living Tantra Institute. It’s been a summer of family, close friends, nature, and inner clearing expansion.

Today I am sharing a few things with you:

  • First, here is a half hour audio file of a dancing, shaking, moving practice you can download to use at any time to bring yourself home to the body with no drama. It was recorded live, so consider it an emergent offering!

Today’s letter is the synthesis of what the Living Tantra conception has become so far. This is the lens through which I filter the world, and what the work has pointed me to so far. It’s always evolving, and isn’t to be taken as fixed and firm: you need to check it all to your direct experience, try it on for size. You can also join the WhatsApp community and explore these ideas with us.

All love,

Christine

Classical Tantra in Modern Life.

In Living Tantra, awakening is recognizing that everything in material reality is the play of consciousness itself. Once we see this, we see everything, including ourselves, as part of the infinite luminous field in which everything appears. Our commitment is to remember, again and again that “I am That”, and to live so fully in this recognition that we call each other home.

More and more, we remember our essential nobility, the quiet knowing that we’re rays of the one light. We remember our innate dignity as consciousness itself. We give freely because nothing’s lacking in us. We feel and are present and metabolize experience in real time.

We bow to all, as all are the radiance wearing skin and fur and bark and scale. All that diverse beauty is a wondrous gift. We are curious, we weave, we thread difference into unity with frequency and words.

We live all of this in a body. The light is invited all the way down — into the breath, the belly, the bowl of the pelvis, the soles of the feet. We are the divine’s way of touching creation from the inside: the whole circuitry online, feeling awake from toes to crown, the senses tuned to the obvious and to the subtle, sexuality gathered into the holy with everything else. There is no part of the self that spirituality gets to exclude. Wake up — and then wake down.

Pleasure is a pointer to essence. We say our prayers through the breath, through the dance, through the beautiful flow of these bodies. Sensation is scripture: the yes and the no are read first in the tissue, and what arises we feel all the way through, until even grief opens into the universal. The body is the path, and the altar, and the offering.

We take responsibility for our subjective experience. Every disturbance in our field is ours to address. What’s wounded “out there” is calling for wholeness “in here”. We include everything, and oppose nothing. To blame another is to cut our own hand. To offer praise, to uplift, to see the beauty in another is to acknowledge the sacred play moving through another form. The world is our mirror.

We honor every adaptation that once protected us. Whatever armored the heart or braced the belly was intelligence doing its job, and we thank it before we set it down. Whatever we oppose, we crystallize; whatever we welcome can finally unwind. There is no private shame: every frequency we carry is carried with us by millions, and speaking it in a room that does not flinch frees us individually, and frees people we will never meet.

Speech is mantra and spell casting. Our words open space, restore trust, draw what’s fragmented back into the heart. What we say either deepens illusion or restores wholeness.

To grasp after objects, people, or status is to forget that the whole cosmos is already our domain. The one who recognizes this owns everything, by needing nothing. All we seize will bind us. All that we grip, grips us. All we release reveals itself as already ours.

To injure another is to injure ourselves, for all limbs belong to one body of awareness. We don’t defend a “self” that’s already boundless. We look always toward harmony within the field. What needs healing is always the illusion of separation. Our task isn’t to fix another’s confusion but to trust the spark that lives in all of us.

Sometimes firmness is needed. True wrath isn’t anger but fierce compassion: the clarity that dispels illusion while never attacking the person. When wrath arises in us, it is to cut away the confusion, to bring sacred clarity. Firmness born of love clears the path.

There is one religion, love. We know all names are names of the One: Christ and the Magdalene, Kali, Gaia, Allah… all point to the light. The essence is unconditional love of creation and essential kindness, arising from the joy of recognizing ourselves everywhere. Whatever name we use, the heart’s the same.

Coherence is our first offering to the world, our emanation. A settled body settles the room; a cleared fear takes wattage off the whole planet. We tend our own field the way we tend a garden, knowing the decisions we make, the environments we build, and how we treat one another are all downstream of the state we inhabit. Transformation begins within and radiates out.

Like gardeners, we tend the field of awakening. We don’t “save” anyone. We water the seed, creating circumstances where awareness can blossom. We tend the soil of community so we can all keep waking up together. We make space for it to arise.

If you would like to double click or go deeper on any of these principles, I’m a yes to that.

With love,

Christine
