Christine Marie Mason is a practitioner and teacher of tantra and devotional practice, a writer, retreat host, and lover of beauty, song, and embodied spirituality.

Over the years, she has created and led retreats and immersions around the world, weaving classical tantric lineages, neuroscience, trauma-informed somatics, and devotional arts.

Throughout the immersion, she is joined by guest teachers and guides whose presence brings even more color and depth to the experience.

Adam Bauer spent years playing bass alongside Krishna Das and studying devotional music at the feet of Shyamdas, two of the most revered figures in the Western Bhakti tradition. Since 2012, he has been leading kirtan and sacred chant programs on three continents, with three critically acclaimed solo albums, one produced by Gaura Vani and two produced with Ben Leinbach.

His three solo chanting albums are Shyam Lila (2014), Wonderville (2017), and Return to the Sacred (2020). His new album, Life + Death, will be released in October 2026.

Adam sings and offers workshops, programs and private sessions worldwide and online.

Richard Bock has devoted over forty years to meditation, embodied healing, and the cultivation of presence. After fifteen years living in a Bhakti Yoga ashram, he spent twenty-three years at Harbin Hot Springs learning, practicing, and teaching aquatic bodywork (Watsu and WaterDance), while also becoming widely known for facilitating the Quantum Light Breath—a form of embodied breathwork grounded in presence rather than catharsis.

Across decades of work with thousands of people, Richard discovered that healing does not come from method alone, but from the guide’s capacity to remain present—especially when fear, grief, anger, or power arise. Following the 2015 fire that destroyed Harbin Hot Springs and a series of personal reckonings, Richard entered a deep period of trauma-healing work that reshaped his approach. Reverence, nervous-system safety, and unburdened feeling became central to everything he teaches. Quantum Light Breath is the transmission of this lived lineage into a learning
environment.

Kyle Buckley‍ ‍is a transformational guide, somatic-intuitive healer, and ceremonial herbalist who brings a deeply integrative, multi-modality approach to her work. This includes over 17 years of experience across craniosacral therapy and therapeutic touch, somatic counseling, trauma-informed care, menstrual magic and womb-based leadership, plant wisdom, and holistic nervous system resilience.

Kyle meets each client with deep attunement and reverence for the body’s innate intelligence, creating a field of safety where healing unfolds organically and with ease. Whether through bodywork, herbal support, coaching, or integration sessions, Kyle supports clients in restoring balance, cultivating resilience, and powerfully anchoring personal and spiritual transformation into daily life.

Chef Alissa Ferranto creates nourishing, seasonal meals featuring fresh vegetables and fruits from the Sundari Gardens farm. A healthy, vibrant menu is included throughout the retreat, supporting guests’ journey of renewal, connection, and well-being.

  • For practitioners and committed students who are ready to stand inside the transmission lineage to teach from it.

  • For those who want to boost their energy, clarity and vitality, and pair daily practice with a full detox.

  • For those who feel the tradition calling and don't need to know where it leads yet.

  • Every track runs on the same daily rhythm: morning sadhana and embodied inquiry. Teaching topics and practices with varying levels of depth.

  • Give it three weeks this November, give yourself this opening into new possibilities.

THE PLACE

Our host property encompasses 10 fecund acres in Kalapana, on the Puna coast of Hawaiʻi Island (also known as the Big Island). There are more than 70 unique tropical gardens, including a farm garden and food forest, plus two ponds and a 1⁄2 mile walking trail loop. Guests are lodged in one of three houses or private cabins that host retreat guests, plus an open air yoga shala, a treatment room, massage room and 3,600 sq ft pool and spa.

Kalapana enjoys a tropical, continuously wet climate that’s warm year-round. Daytime highs stay comfortably between 75°F and 82°F, with nighttime lows hovering around 64°F to 72°F—rarely dropping below 60°F or exceeding the low 80s. Rainfall occurs throughout the year, averaging around 2–4 inches monthly, with the wettest period in winter (October through April) and a slightly drier window in summer (May to September). Cloud cover is frequent, and trade winds bring breezy conditions, especially in summer. Kalapana offers a steady, mild tropical climate with consistent warmth, humidity, and a lush green landscape.

Kalapana's wild beauty is amplified by a blend of rare birds — we have a giant flock of the little yellow-green ʻAmakihi that call the land home, and frequent hawk visitations. Local marine life, giant sea turtles, dolphins and much more make Hawai’i Island unique in the world.

Throughout the year in Kalapana, there are approximatrely 12 hours of daylight (11 at peak of winter, and 13 hours at peak summer). We are early to rise, and 9 pm is also known as “Puna midnight”. This equanimous sun makes for healthy and balanced rest.

Hawaiian indigenous religion, rooted in a deep reverence for nature and ancestral spirits, honors a pantheon of gods and goddesses—such as the volcano goddess Pele —and is expressed through chants, hula, rituals, and the concept of mana, or spiritual power. For those interested in connecting with the spirit of Aloha, we offer that oppportunity during your stay. Kalapana is also a meaningful local hub within the wider indigenous kingdom movement.

We are off-grid in the tropics so we do sometimes have to deal with bugs, wild bores, power outages, or tropical weather.
