2026 Living Tantra 201 LIVE:

4 weeks, beginning September 17

Living Tantra 201

Willingness · Beauty · Shadow · Death

Week 1: Willing ness

Each of us carries vāsanās — the latent impressions and inherited tendencies that shape how we perceive, react, and desire, often long before conscious choice enters the room.

  • What vāsanās are: latent impressions, inherited tendencies, the grooves of the mind

  • How conditioning shapes perception, desire, and reaction before choice arrives

  • Willingness as the posture that makes seeing possible — consent without collapse

  • Recognizing a vāsanā in real time: body cues, repetition, charge

  • Family, culture, and lineage patterning — what we carry that isn't ours

  • Meeting old patterns without shame, suppression, or acting out

  • Practices for loosening the groove: witnessing, breath, interrupting the loop

  • Freedom as relationship to conditioning, not its erasure

The 4 Weeks

Week 2: Beauty

Beauty appears when the obstacles to presence have been lovingly removed. We are becoming Sahridaya: A human being whose entire life has become a receptive instrument for beauty.

  • The nine rasas and how to work with each as practice

  • Beauty as recognition

  • Sensory practices as contemplation

  • Tapping creative attunement

  • Finding beauty in the ordinary

  • Art, music, and film as tantric technology

  • Cultivating the aesthetic eye in daily life

  • Beauty and the beloved: seeing the divine in another's form

Week 3: Shadow

Shadow work as a tantric practice: rage, envy, shame, and desire not as obstacles to transcend but as intensities of the one consciousness, waiting to be reclaimed.

  • We enter experience at its strongest point and practice turning toward what we habitually turn from, with humor, rigor, and real companionship.

  • What shadow is: the disowned energies of the psyche

  • The tantric reframe: every intensity is consciousness in disguise

  • Projection: recognizing your shadow in what you judge

  • Working with shame, rage, and envy without acting them out or pushing them down

  • The gold in the dark

  • Witnessing practices

Week 4: Death

The tantrika keeps death close as a great clarifier. This unit works directly with impermanence: the death of moments, identities, relationships, and eventually the body itself.

  • Death as teacher: how impermanence sharpens presence

  • Laya: dissolution practices from the tantric tradition

  • The many small deaths — endings, losses, identity shifts

  • Breath as rehearsal: the exhale as surrender

  • The cremation-ground lineage: meeting fear where it lives

  • Grief as sacred practice

  • Contemplating your own death without flinching

  • Living from the awareness that time is finite and love is now

Prerequisite: Living Tantra 101, or significant prior practice.

If you're reading this, something in you was already moving.

Living Tantra 101 is four live Tuesdays of practice, scholarship and genuine company, along with extensive archives and community space to grow.

Why it's live, and why it's a group

The part people assume is a nice extra. It isn't.

Relational awakening demands relational containers.

You can read the philosophy alone. You can't practise it alone, because what's being practised is recognition, and recognition needs a mirror. Not enmeshment, not a soup of "we".

Something more precise: become so present to your own field that you can be fully attuned to

another without leaving yourself.

The group that sees and affirms each other's light, reflects the shadows gently, holds space when someone forgets. Where being recognised stops being remarkable and becomes ordinary.

Nothing gets left out

Every feeling is Shakti. Pleasure, pain, longing, despair, joy, rage, tenderness — all of it is consciousness in motion. No feeling is made wrong. Meet it. Don't suppress it. Feel it fully and add nothing extra, and it will show you the spacious awareness that was holding it the whole time. Other paths ask you to transcend, withdraw, or purify certain states out. This one doesn't exclude anything.

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here. I love this material so much- classical tantra is a rich line of ideas and practices that radically upgrade our experience of life. I offer this course twice a year. I has become a living community of practice and inquiry. You will learn, deepen, make friends and come to new understandings of how these ancient philosophies can be applied now.

I approach this material with respectful scholarship, and active practices, as an invitation into a more alive, wildly potent and tender relationship with all of life.

Every class cohort becomes a community. It’s a potent and highly personalized container.

XO,

Christine Marie / C-Ma

Step fully into the promise of your life.

The classical texts say that each one of us is a fragment of the one light, here to fully experience this life and our own embodiment, and reflect back to creation what only we can see, from our unique position in this body, in this time and place.

There are thousands of practices and philosophies that support this way of being. Join me as we explore some of them together.

This course is an antidote to any lingering beliefs that the body is a problem. Instead, tantra sees the body is a divine expression, a gateway and a source of full vibrancy.

Together, we create a dynamic space filled with wonder. We expand our capacity to move with and through various energies and emotions with compassion and playfulness. We learn how to navigate sensation in ways that profoundly improve relationships and deepen our connection with the world.

Living Tantra Fall Immersion in Hawaiʻi

November 1 to 22, 2026

Kalapana, Hawaii

This Tantra retreat in Hawaiʻi initiates you into the somatic and spiritual lineage I teach

Choose your length—One week, two, or the full three, November 1 through 22, 2026.

This is also for aspiring teachers; each week earns you 25 Living Tantra certification credits, and yoga teachers can get Yoga Alliance continuing education hours (YACEP), so your time on the land advances your path as a practitioner and a teacher.

For those who feel called to go deeper, you are invited into a more immersive field of practice, rest, and recalibration. You may also choose to incorporate a guided detox experience into your stay, with nourishing meals, restorative practices, and time in nature designed to support renewal, cleansing, and deeper connection with yourself. Whether you come for a week or the full immersion, you'll have the opportunity to reset, recharge, and return home feeling refreshed and inspired.

If you feel the call to continue beyond study into lived experience, this immersion is the next step.
